Hi! My name is Niki Winkler and I will be teaching fourth grade. I previously taught fourth grade at St. Pius X for eight years. My husband, Scott, and I have been married 18 years and we have two amazing kids, Nolen and Sophie. They keep us very busy with livestock showing, track and cheerleading! I’m very excited to be a Westran Hornet and I can’t wait to meet my new students!
There will be a Westran Choir meeting in the High School music room on Monday, August 26th at 6:30pm for any parents of students interested in joining the choir.

Middle School Football practice begins today! 3:30-5:00pm at the High School. Athletes will meet by the weight room.

If your student(s) rode a bus during the previous 2023-24 school year, their bus route pick up and drop off times for the 2024-25 school year should be about the same. Plus or minus 10 minutes. We appreciate your patience as bus routes are continually reviewed and updated through out the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Westran R-1 Transportation Director, David Drew at ddrew@westran.k12.mo.us, or please call 660-676-4656.
Green vs. White Game will take place tomorrow August 17th. Football at 10am and Softball at 11am approximately. The cheerleaders will also be cheering during the football scrimmage. Admission is a pack of Water/Gatorade. Good Luck to all of our athletes!!!!

Westran High School Cheerleaders are selling Hornet Pride T's and Crews to help send them to competition in Kansas City at the end of September! Shirt order forms and payment will be due August 27th. Forms can be turned into any building office or Cheerleaders. Pickup will be September 12th outside the music room at the High School. Thank you for your support!!!! #bleedgreen

Westran School District would like to welcome Erica Fuemmeler!
My name is Erica Fuemmeler and I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Westran this year! My family (husband Todd, daughter Hayven, and son Coltyn) just moved back home after living the last 4 years in Kansas City. While in KC, I taught elementary special education. I have been in the education field since 2010, and have spent the last five years in the elementary setting, after previously working as a school bookkeeper and HS Business Teacher. I received my Bachelor's degree from Columbia College and my Masters of Education in Reading through Northwest Missouri State University. I enjoy reading, going to the lake with my family, traveling, and watching the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs play. I look forward to meeting my new students in a few weeks!

Hi! I'm Ashley Lee, a new 3rd Grade teacher at Westran Elementary School. I am so excited to share my love of learning and laughter with my students. I have been married for 2 years to my husband Jonny. We have a one year old daughter named Charlotte (Charlie) and a twelve year old dog named Sophie. This will be the start of my seventh year as an educator and sixth year in 3rd Grade. Aside from teaching and my family, I also have a passion for softball as I will be the high school assistant softball coach! I am so excited for this year and to be a Hornet!
