I wanted to provide a quick update.
With outside temperatures expected to warm into the 70s tomorrow and the replacement boiler part currently in route, we feel confident that Friday will be a good day to resume school.
Westran will be in session tomorrow, Friday March 6th.

Due to continued heating issues and ongoing boiler repairs, school will again be canceled tomorrow.
Repairs are still in progress, and we will continue to monitor the situation daily. Updates will be shared as decisions are made. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

I want to provide you with a clear update regarding our building’s boiler system. Recently, we experienced an issue with our boiler and have been working to secure the correct replacement part to complete repairs. Throughout this process, our administration team and maintenance director have monitored the situation closely, with student safety at the center of every decision. Building temperatures have been carefully tracked and maintained to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for students and staff. In addition to the boiler system, our upstairs gymnasium furnace helps support heating throughout the building, which has allowed school operations to continue uninterrupted. We understand that some families were concerned and would have preferred notification Sunday evening prior to school on Monday. Please know that we did not send communication at that time because temperatures were within safe operating ranges and we were confident school could proceed as normal. Our priority is always to communicate when there is a safety concern or operational change that impacts students.
At this time, everything is under control, and school will continue as scheduled. We appreciate your patience and your trust as we work through routine facility challenges like this. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Mr. Harvey
