Overall, we had a great day today with Mens Track and had several PRs which is what we look for at this time of the year. To those who didn't advance to Sectionals, don't hang your head. We are proud of your efforts this season. To the Seniors, thank you for your contributions to the program. Lastly, special congratulations to these three guys on advancing to Sectionals in some of their events as they had to finish in the top 4! Today was Track Day! Not everyone is happy with the outcome, but I can't ask for more! The Lady Hornets showed up and gave it their all! We were 2nd in district by just a few points! This season isn't over yet! Next up Sectionals at South Calloway, May 16th! Moving on for the Lady Hornets is Norah and Hadley Harvey in High Jump, Norah in triple jump. Norah and Brinkley Jacoby in 100 meter hurdles. Kate Hollann in disc and javelin. Jordan Bentley in the 400 meter. Kelsie Moran, Brinkley, Hadley, and Charley Starr in the 4x100 relay and the 4x200 relay.

2026 Field Day was a blast!! 🎉 A huge thank you to the amazing Westran PTO, Mr. Schleicher, and Westran Elementary for making the day so special and memorable for all of us! We had so much fun and made so many great memories together! ☀️💚💛🐝💚

2B had an amazing week full of fun memories! We celebrated themed school days, lit up Glow Day, enjoyed board games, and wrapped up the week with an awesome Beach Day! A huge thank you to a wonderful parent for providing a special birthday lunch. Only one more week left with these incredible 2nd graders! ☀️🎲🌴💛

Westran Elementary Student Council purchased 4 digital screens for the hallways with funding from several fundraisers throughout the year. These screens keep our school up-to-date on menus, birthdays, upcoming events, and more! They also helped William and Mitch put them up! Thank you to everyone for participating in fundraisers and to William and Mitch for helping set up the screens!

Westran Elementary Student Council digital screens continued...

Westran Elementary Student Council celebrated a very successful year with a pizza party today! These kids have worked so hard! Recap of our year: -Campaign for elected positions -Halloween Face Painting fundraiser -Santa Store fundraiser -Safe Passage fundraiser -Little Brother and Sister program -Presenting character words at assemblies -Hall duty every morning -Setting an example every day with behavior and academics -Purchased 4 digital screens for the hallways! I'm so proud of their hard work!

Here are the Class of 2026 four-year weightlifting completers! These young men and women have put in a tremendous amount of time, effort, and dedication toward the success of Westran Athletics. Their commitment, toughness, and work ethic have helped build the foundation of our programs. It all starts in the weight room! 💪🏽🏋️

BOYS GOLF. At Districts (Heritage Hills) today...the boys beat 5 teams with a 416 finishing 16th. Kai Alexander and Brody Kallmeyer shot 99 tying for 50th out of 107 golfers. Cooper Drew shot 105 for 66th. Kolby Vanlandingham shot 113 for 79th. And Jackson Land shot 127 for 92nd. I am extremely proud of this group of boys for their perseverance and improvement this season. I hope they all spend some time on the course throughout the next 9 months working toward making even bigger strides in 2027.

There will be no more Fit Club for the remainder of the school year until summer weights begins. Thank you to everyone for another great year of allowing us to train with your kids. It's been awesome seeing the progress that has been made 💪🏃💨

Our Kindergarten Graduation today was a success! We are so proud of our students as they take their next big step. A huge thank you to our families, staff, and everyone who helped make this day possible.

There is an incoming freshmen parent meeting on Monday, May 11th at 5:00pm for who are interested in playing high school football this upcoming fall. Parents and athletes are encouraged to attend! The meeting will take place in the library at the High School. Thank you!
