ATTENTION PARENTS OF GIRLS GOING INTO 3rd-12th GRADE!!!! Here is a digital copy of The Lady Hornet Basketball Camp form. Paper copies have been passed out at each of the schools and should be coming home today if they haven't already. This will be a great opportunity for all Lady Hornets to improve their basketball skills!

(3/26) Tonight's baseball game vs Macon has been postponed due to poor weather conditions.
(3/25) Tonight's MS Track Meet has been cancelled.
Zoology students completed the turtle dissection to wrap-up the unit on reptiles.
Our track schedule has changed at the high school. Tuesday, we are not traveling to Knox County. We did add a meet on Thursday the 29th at Fayette that will be held at the CMU track.
Those attending tonight's showing of the High School Play should please park either on the office side of the building or in the back parking lot. Please avoid parking in the spots on the music room door side of the building. Thank you!
Tonight's baseball game will be played @ Northwestern School in Mendon starting at 5:00 PM.

We are excited to announce that Jordan Saah will be the new head softball coach for the 2024 season. Congrats to Coach Saah and good luck to the Lady Hornets!!!!
The eighth graders went to MACC today and went through their UCAN2 program. They learned a lot about budgeting and how quickly money disappears when you have real life bills to pay! It was a reality check for them for sure!
Boys Golf. Yesterday, at a 9-hole meet in Centralia, Logan Brown got 5th place with a 43. Matthew Hopper and Michael Johnson tied for 16th with 66.
Westran HS band students participated in the MSHSAA District Solo and Small Ensmble Festival on Saturday, March 16. They performed well, and Jessica Owens (euphonium solo) and the Percussion Quintet qualified for the state level event at the end of April. Congrats to these kids for their hard work and excellent performances.
The Westran R-1 School District is looking for substitute nurses!

Congratulations to Hampton Summers! He "broke" I-Ready and completed all lessons to be performing above grade-level in Reading! Way to go!
Eighth graders are starting their poetry unit with a magnetic poetry challenge! They came up with some pretty awesome poems!
Second Annual Business Expo was an incredible success! These Eighth graders have bright futures!
HS band students participated in the Lewis and Clark Conference Band on March 5. They performed an excellent concert and represented the program well.
March has been a busy month for the Westran Band program. We kicked the month off with several MS and HS students participating in the CMU Music Fest on March 1. The solos and small ensembles performed well and received Exemplary and Outstanding ratings.
Logan Brown shot 91 and finished 36th in our first tournament of the year yesterday, Tolton Catholic Invitational at Columbia Country Club.
