In science class, 7th grade is learning about the human impact on our environment and how to recycle materials into useful everyday items so that they aren't added to our ongoing pollution problem.
They are doing a plastic bag challenge, making items out of plastic bags and tape.
Congratulations to our Scholar Bowl members that received conference honors. Kai Alford received second team all tournament team, and Jewel Gaines received second team all conference team.
FCCLA held a Blanket Drive in February. 281 blankets were collected through a contest at the elementary and as admission at a basketball game. These blankets will be donated to homeless shelters, women's shelters, police, and state patrol departments by MO FCCLA.
Congratulations to Cruze Haynes, Marshall Kitchen, Jaelyn Miller, and Emma Wortmann for being named to the Class 2 District 7 All-District Team! Emma Wortmann was also named co player of the year in the district!!

The Seventh Graders participated in a Mock Trial to practice making claims and justifying. They nailed it!
Congratulations to the Westran HS band students who participated in the MSHSAA District Solo/Small Ensemble Festival on March 15. They all performed well. Madi Ingram qualified for State Music Festival by receiving the highest rating, Exemplary, on her clarinet solo.
Congrats to the Westran HS Band for being selected to play during the MSHSAA Show-Me Showdown in Columbia.
