4B had so much fun exploring with electric circuits today. Almost everyone had success making the light bulb light up.
FBLA toured KOMU-8 last week. We were able to be in the news room while they filmed a news and weather promo, talk to the
9-5 news anchor and weather woman. We learned a lot about working in the news and also got to see how the green screen for weather works.
FBLA attended Fall Leadership Conference last week in Columbia,MO. We learned lots and had fun doing it!

Today the 4th and 5th grade students had a presentation on Electrical Safety by CMEC. We learned a lot about how electricity works and how to stay safe.
Next Tuesday, October 24, the Middle School will be hosting a free Halloween Dance for Westran Middle Schoolers from 5:30-7. There will be music, drinks, food, and a costume contest. Middle Schoolers and their immediate families are welcome!

The 7th grade FACS class has been working on their sewing skills. Each student made his or her own pillow.
The 7th grade Ag class is making miniature pollinator boxes. They will sow wildflower seeds in them and take them home to help promote pollination!

MSHSAA has a few rules/regulations we must follow when hosting districts.
+The entry fee has been set at $6 for anyone ages 6 and over. Senior, Booster Club, School, MSTA, Conference and other traditional passes are not accepted during MSHSAA post-season events. Only those on the approved MSHSAA pass list will be granted a pass.
+NO PETS ALLOWED. This is a MSHSAA Rule for post-season events.
+District T-Shirts are $20 for short sleeve and $25 for long sleeve. Proceeds are split between the host school and MSHSAA.
+Bring chairs if you don't want to sit in the bleachers!
With District Softball beginning today, we ask that parking is clear of the drop off areas marked in Red so that multiple buses can drop teams off throughout the days we host.

The Lady Hornet weight lifting classes worked hard this morning transporting and spreading 2,000lbs or tire chips for the preschool playground! These young ladies are always willing to lend a helping hand!
