Westran Middle School has some important dates coming up. Wednesday, May 15, at 2pm is the 8th grade awards assembly, and Thursday, May 16, at 9:30 am is the 6-7 grade awards assembly. Both events will be held at the middle school gym and all are welcome to attend.
Westran R-1 parent, the last day of school on May 16th will now be a FULL DAY to make up for the time missed due to the early dismissal for the water main break on April 26th. This change was approved by the Westran R-1 Board of Education.

The MS Track meet that was rescheduled for today @ Glasgow has been cancelled.
The final track meet for the MS will be the Lewis & Clark Conference meet tomorrow @ Paris beginning at 1:30pm!

4th Grade has been working very hard on projects for economy. They had to learn about planning a business, production, marketing, finance, and sales.
Today they bought and sold their products. They learned about opportunity cost, budgets, supply & demand, and profit!
Today was a great day for Hornet Track! Several PRs and 2 school records today! Congratulations to the boys and girls for an awesome day! Super proud! Congratulations to those that advanced to sectionals next Saturday. Both teams have several that will compete at South Calloway next Saturday!
Today's meet has a change! All field events will be done on a rolling schedule. Also there will be 4 jumps and 4 throws so that we can work to get finished before the weather. The running events will stay with the timed schedule.
Boys discus will start at 10 am
Our annual FFA plant sale is going on right now. We will be open until 6 and the remaining plants will be sold tomorrow. Come out and see us.
