Westran School District would like to welcome Drew Hunt!
I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years this August. We have three sons, ages 20 (Braedon is a Sophomore at Mizzou), 17 (Ashton is a junior at Moberly High School), and 12 (Kyrhen is a 6th grader at St. Pius in Moberly). We are a baseball family who also loves water sports and boating at the Lake of the Ozarks.
I have my Bachelor's Degree from Mizzou in Personal Financial Management. I'm certified to teach Social Studies in grades 6-12 and SPED K-12. I received my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University. I was a classroom teacher (mostly at the high school level) for the past 21 years. I've taught at Moberly Middle School, Moberly High School, Westran Elementary School, and Westran High School. I've been a head high school baseball coach, head high school softball coach, and I am currently the head coach of the Moberly Sixers American Legion 19U baseball team.
I'm really excited for this school-year!

My name is Madison Wandrey and I will be teaching Elementary Special Education at Westran this year! Being an advocate for inclusion and sharing my passion for Autism Awareness/Acceptance connected me with teaching in the Public School System. I
have been teaching for two years after receiving my Bachelors of Science in Special Education at the University of Missouri. Aside from teaching, my greatest joy in life is being a wife to my husband Tyler and a Mom to our son, Wilson. Most days you can catch us hanging out at the ball fields, reading, or playing with our dogs Ruger and Ronnie.
For the 2024-2025 school year, the last middle school bus will leave the elementary at 7:50 am. This is a 5 minute change from last year.
Here is the 2024 Lady Hornet Powerhouse Club! We had a great turnout this summer, averaging 20+ girls everyday. This group went above and beyond to show up, work hard, and encourage each other all summer!

Elementary Open House: Monday, August 19th 5:00pm-6:30pm
Middle school football practice will begin August 19th. 3:30-5:00pm at the high school. The games schedule can be found on the MSHSSA website. To join our Remind group, follow the instructions in the attachment.

Congratulations to Mallory Brown on her 9th place finish at the National SkillsUSA Competition in Architectural Drafting. During the eight-hour drafting portion of the competition, Mallory completed an intense project. Mallory qualified for the National SkillsUSA Competition in Atlanta after receiving the Gold medal at the State-level contest.

Congratulations to Cooper Harvey for being selected to the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Team. Cooper was named 2nd Team All-State Catcher!!
