Green vs. White Game will take place tomorrow August 17th. Football at 10am and Softball at 11am approximately. The cheerleaders will also be cheering during the football scrimmage. Admission is a pack of Water/Gatorade. Good Luck to all of our athletes!!!!

Westran High School Cheerleaders are selling Hornet Pride T's and Crews to help send them to competition in Kansas City at the end of September! Shirt order forms and payment will be due August 27th. Forms can be turned into any building office or Cheerleaders. Pickup will be September 12th outside the music room at the High School. Thank you for your support!!!! #bleedgreen

Westran School District would like to welcome Erica Fuemmeler!
My name is Erica Fuemmeler and I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Westran this year! My family (husband Todd, daughter Hayven, and son Coltyn) just moved back home after living the last 4 years in Kansas City. While in KC, I taught elementary special education. I have been in the education field since 2010, and have spent the last five years in the elementary setting, after previously working as a school bookkeeper and HS Business Teacher. I received my Bachelor's degree from Columbia College and my Masters of Education in Reading through Northwest Missouri State University. I enjoy reading, going to the lake with my family, traveling, and watching the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs play. I look forward to meeting my new students in a few weeks!

Hi! I'm Ashley Lee, a new 3rd Grade teacher at Westran Elementary School. I am so excited to share my love of learning and laughter with my students. I have been married for 2 years to my husband Jonny. We have a one year old daughter named Charlotte (Charlie) and a twelve year old dog named Sophie. This will be the start of my seventh year as an educator and sixth year in 3rd Grade. Aside from teaching and my family, I also have a passion for softball as I will be the high school assistant softball coach! I am so excited for this year and to be a Hornet!

I am a mom to 3 - Mallory (8 - 3rd grade at Westran), Maclaren (2) and Canyon (1)! My husband Jake is from here which is how we landed in Huntsville! When I’m not in the classroom, I love camping and crafting! I spent the past year at home with my 2 smallest babies! Before that, I taught at Moberly High School for a couple years, where I was also a para. I got my Bachelors in Special Education at Central Methodist University!

Hey! My name is Elizabeth Foster! My husband and I plus our three children: Linkyn (7), Alyvia (5) and Myles (4months) and I moved to the area from northeast Missouri. We are very excited to start roots in this community and make it our new home!
This is my 9th year teaching. I have taught 3&4 grade for 7 years and PE for 1. I graduated with my bachelors of science in education from University of Central Missouri, and my masters in educational leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. I will be teaching elementary specials (STEM) and 4/5 interventionist.

As a Westran graduate, I am thrilled to be joining the Westran teaching team this year! I started my work in education right here at Westran Elementary as a paraprofessional in 2011. This is where my love of teaching was born, encouraging me to pursue my Bachelor's degree in education at Central Methodist University. After earning my degree, I went on to accept a position with Moberly School District, teaching 5th grade for 6 years, then 8th grade English Language Arts for 3 years. Last fall I completed my Master's in Education with Northwest Missouri State University. My family is a huge part of my life. My son, partner in crime, and concert buddy, Colton will be a sophomore at Westran High School this fall. I'm an extremely proud big sister, to my siblings Kristopher and Corbyn, and living my best Auntie life with Kris' 3 year old twins Maverick and Lincoln! My parents are my foundation and I wouldn't be where I am today without them. In my spare time, you'll find me reading, traveling with my family, or working with my sister at Scooter's! Looking forward to my new role at Westran with enthusiasm and Hornet Pride!
Fall Sports Practices begin next week August 12th. Please make sure you have a physical if you don't already have one on file.
GIRLS GOLF. Practice next week (8/12-8/16) will be at Heritage Hills golf course, 6:45am-7:45am. If you don't play softball, we can certainly stay longer if you wish. All are welcome. No experience necessary. It will be fun, even if you've never played before! Be sure to have your physical and other paperwork completed before the first practice, if possible. See ya then! I have been married to my husband for 13 years and we have 2 sons. We love to spend time camping together and going on adventures. I am finishing my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education at Central Methodist University. I was a teacher's assistant at NCRS in Moberly in 2022-2023. Last school year I taught 5th grade at Williamsburg Elementary.
