Congratulations to the Westran Marching Hornets! At CMU Band Day today, they earned 3rd place in Class 2 parade marching and 2nd place in Class 2 field marching. We are proud of you all!

Girls Golf. Yesterday at the L&C Conference Tournament, Hayven Fuemmeler and Kharigan Fuemmeler earned All Conference Honors! Today, Hayven, Shaylynn and Kadence Bell, and Jaycie Colley all took on the challenge of competing in Districts. Though our girls are rarely happy about their scores, I have been very impressed with their effort and improvement during the season, even while most of them were playing 2 or 3 different sports. I am very proud of these ladies and look forward to many of them leading our team in the future!
1C has had fun learning about fire safety this week! Today, they learned that a fire needs 3 things to happen and to continue. Thank you to the Westran Fire Protection District for all of the goodies! 👨🏼🚒🚒
Congratulations to the WHS Students of the Month for September - Kiyah Massey and Nolen Winkler!
Kiyah Massey- Kiyah as an A+ student has went beyond her duties and shows kindness to younger children, exemplifies a well-rounded individual who contributes positively to the school environment. Kiyah is an amazing Hornet Tutor/Helper and she is a very kind person. She helps a kiddo out at the elementary school who struggles most days and Kiyah shows her kindness, understanding, and respect.
Nolen Winkler -Nolan goes above and beyond during his time as a Cadet Teacher at the elementary school. He sits with the kids, opens ALL the things for kindergarten and first grade lunch. He even had ketchup put in his hair one day and had a great attitude about it.
He is so deserving of student of the month!
2nd grade had a wonderful time at the Huntsville Fire Department! Thank you to Tony and Jayme Bell and all the firefighters who helped make today amazing for all of us! The students loved the special gifts you gave us and all the wonderful hands-on activities you planned!! We sure do appreciate all you do to help keep us safe!!
WMS cheerleaders are excited to see all the pinked out little cheerleaders this Saturday!
