Good luck to Catherine Doll as she gets ready to compete in Visual Design finals at State FBLA today at 11am. She competed yesterday in preliminary competition and only 14 out of over 100 competitors advanced to finals today. Mac Rak conducted welding tests as part of an employment evaluation at Westran High School last week. After various welding projects, Mac Rak promptly hired two students at WHS. Mac Rak is now working with these two students for the next step in an apprenticeship program. Congrats to these young men!
Boys Golf. Yesterday at Meadow Lakes Country Club, New Bloomfield, Matthew Hopper and Kai Alexander teamed up in a scramble tournament for a 105.
Boys Golf. On Tuesday, Matthew Hopper shot 147 and Michael Johnson shot 160 at the Moberly Invitational. Yesterday, Kai Alexander shot 121, Matthew Hopper shot 128, and Michael Johnson shot 134 at the Marceline Invitational.
WMS Beta Club is raising money for the Central Missouri Humane Society!
Next week, students will be able to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to pie a classmate in the face! Tickets are .50 cents and sold before school!

Yesterday, some of our 6th graders went to MACC for a day of singing. We combined with over 20 other schools from the Northeast District of the state and made a choir of 193 kids. The students practiced all afternoon and put on an evening concert for a packed house. Congratulations, all!
Today's meet for the HS Boys will be in Salisbury. Javelin starts at 2:30, with field events beginning at 4:00pm.

Westran Parents, this is a reminder that we offer Kindergarten Academy to incoming kindergarteners enrolled at Westran. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Parents can choose one week to send their kids: either May 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 or May 30, 31, June 3, 4, 5. Drop off begins at 7:45 and is over at 11:45.

Westran 2nd grade had a great time on our field trip to Runge Nature Center and Central Dairy. Thank you, Westran PTO, for paying for all of our students' ice cream and all your support the entire year! A big thank you to our wonderful Westran R1 bus driver.
