Just a reminder to please be mindful of the social distancing recommendations that have been put in place by the local health department and our school district to ensure the health and safety of all those in attendance.
The softball fields will have no bleachers, so please bring a folding chair to maintain your distance. Feel free to sit with family in small "pods".
The football bleachers will be a "mask required" section only. The rest of the fenced/roped area outside the football field may be used to spread out and watch the games.
Concessions and restrooms will continue to be available with limited numbers inside the buildings. Please follow the guidelines posted outside the doors.
These guidelines will be for all softball and football games. We encourage these practices to ensure the ability for us to host events with spectators in attendance.

There has been an update to the Hallsville Softball Tournament on August 29th. We will now host half of the bracket and Hallsville will host the other half. Details and scheduling are attached.

Students & parents, pictures for HS fall sports will be Monday, August 24th at the end of the school day. Please have a picture packet, or online order, completed by 3:00pm on the 24th. Packets and information will be passed out by your coach this week.

MS Softball will begin next Monday, August 17th from 3:30-5:00pm at the HS.
You must have a physical completed within the past two years in order to participate in any sport. (Last summer's physicals are good for the 20-21 seasons)
New physicals can be obtained through most doctor offices. Without a physical, you will not be allowed to participate.

There will be no MS weights this week. MS sports begin Monday, August 17th.
Please have physicals and Pre-Participation forms completed. These can be printed off following the link in the slide show, or picked up at the HS.
Coaches are reminding athletes to arrive to their practices 15 minutes early to help allow time for the checkin process.
Remember to bring your own jug of water as water refills will be limited.

Girls golf practice will begin Monday, August 10th from 7am-8:30am at Heritage Hills Golf Course. Be sure to have your current physical on file at the school or have it in your hand. We will take all social distancing precautions during practice. Text me, Coach Schleicher, at 660-651-7820 if you have any questions. No experience or golf clubs required. I will supply any golf equipment you don't have. All are welcome! If you're a softball player and want to play golf as a 2nd sport, that will be great. We will work around your schedule all season.

All students planning to participate in athletics or activities are required to complete a Pre-Participation Form for MSHSAA participation. This can be turned into the school on that particular student’s first day of practice. This form can be found on the school’s website. (See attached)
Reminder that doctor approved Physical Forms are required every 2 years. Therefore, if you received a new physical last year (Summer 2019), it is good for the entire 2020-2021 school year. Others will need an updated physical PRIOR to the first day of participation.
HS Band: There will be NO band activities the week of August 4-8.
A revised schedule for August 11-19 will be mailed and emailed to parents either this weekend or at the start of next week.
Those students who filled out a leadership form, please check your email in the next couple of days.

PEAK Sport & Spine has announced they will not be offering free sports physicals this year.
Be sure to schedule an appointment with a physician to get a physical before the first day of practice. MSHSAA Pre-Participation forms must be completed before the first practice date as well.
