This week, we celebrate the heart of Westran Middle School — our teachers.
Behind every lesson plan, hallway smile, and encouraging word is a teacher who gives their all — not just for grades, but for every student’s growth, well-being, and future.
The educators at WMS work together every single day to lift each other up and ensure no student falls through the cracks. They’re not just teaching math, science, reading, or history — they’re mentoring, guiding, and caring deeply about how students are doing outside the classroom, too. They notice when a student’s having a rough day. They cheer for every victory, big or small. And they believe — truly believe — in what each child is capable of becoming.
They see the whole student and help shape a future that reaches beyond the walls of the school. Their dedication, compassion, and collaboration set an example that will echo in students’ lives for years to come.
To our Westran Middle School teachers: thank you for showing up, for lifting others, and for leading with your hearts. You are deeply appreciated — not just this week, but always.
If you love WMS as much as we do, please take a few minutes and email a thank you to one of these amazing educators!
2B enjoyed visiting The Huntsville Post Office to say hello and put up their stamps. Thr Scoop was a wonderful way to end our trip last week!!

Thank you to Steve Marek and Orscheln Industries for supplying the Westran Middle School with a grant to support our students! It was used to purchase testing supplies and incentives for our students. Shout out to Jevan Wolverton for being the connection that made it happen!

Thank you so much to Farm Bureau Agent Trinity Black for treating our teachers and staff to lunch today! We appreciate your support!

Our final senior is Gage. Gage dreams of inheriting the family business and hitting the road for work. Best of luck in the future, Gage!

A big thank you to Carrie Hayward and Shellie Barnett for all of their hard work and creativity in decorating our front window at Westran High School. Your time, effort, and attention to detail truly brought the space to life and made a beautiful impact to everyone who walks through our doors. Front window designs were created by the multimedia class!!

Our next senior is Lizzy. Lizzy describes herself as caring, silly, and strong. Good luck in the future, Lizzy!

Our next senior is Marshall. Marshall describes himself in three words: confident, athletic, and hardworking. We wish Marshall the best of luck in the future!
