BOYS GOLF. Congratulations to our boys for advancing to State as a team for the 6th year in a row! (we are counting 2020) Logan Bain won the individual district title for the 2nd year in a row with 75. Colin Brandow 6th, 84. Aidan Seiders 10th, 88. Logan Brown 21st, 95. Aidan Brockleman 27th, 100. This is out of 84 golfers.
Reminder that the MS Spring Concert is tonight at 7 pm in the HS Gym. Students should arrive between 6:30-6:45pm.
Zoology students completed their final dissection of fetal pigs today!

Our last senior today is Leyton Bain. We will miss getting to see him make a difference on the court, the field, and in the hallways of WHS! His smart sense of humor has added so much to every class he's in. We wish him all the best at MACC and on the MACC baseball team!
Up next today is Aliya Navarro. Aliya has been so helpful in the office at WHS and we are going to miss seeing her every day! We know she's going to do great things for her future patients and wish her the best of luck at college! Way to go Aliya!
Our first senior spotlight today is Derrick Merritt. Derrick has been such a positive influence at WHS, and is so kind to every person he interacts with! We know he's going to make a difference for so many people and wish him all the best at Missouri Valley next year!

Yesterday the Lady Hornets competed at District Track held in Putnam County. There were some personal bests done yesterday on the best track weather day we have had all year. I know that some are disappointed and I do understand that for sure but it was a great season and I am proud of each and everyone of those young ladies. They battled soreness, sleet, snow, rain and very cold temperatures this season but continued on.
Emma Wortmann will continue next Saturday at Sectional Track held at Monroe City in the High Jump as she placed 2nd. Yesterday she set her Personal Best in the High Jump as well as a new school record of 1.54 m or 5ft 1/2 in. Let's see what she can do this Saturday! Again I am proud of all these young ladies!

BOYS GOLF. The boys got 3rd place of 7 schools in a scramble tournament at Paris today with a score of 238. Aiden Seiders and Logan Bain teaming up for a 3rd place finish as well at 71.

Our next senior spotlight for today is Cody Riddle. You will see him working at the Westran Fire Department. Also congratulations to Cody for signing with Sydenstricker Nobbe Academy today. We wish him luck on his next adventure.
Our first senior spotlight today is Gabby Turpin. Gabby can often be found in the library reading or working on her online class. Gabby is quiet and but has a heart of gold. We will miss you next year at WHS. Good luck in the future!
