On Friday, students in 1C got to pie their teacher in the face for their hard work on their iReady tests.

The WMS Cheerleaders traveled to Drury University in Springfield to compete at MCCA Game Day Competition. They scored 7th place in Timeout, 8th place in Band Chant, 10th place in Fight Song, and 10th place overall. They sure made us proud to be a Hornet today! They hit zero deductions, left it all on the mat, and were stunning! Huge thank you to all those who donated to make this happen! These girls had a blast and rocked it!

Last month Jessica Owens participated in the Missouri All-State Band under the direction of Colonel Don Schofield, director the US Air Force Band. This was a tremendous accomplishment and Jessica represented Westran well!
Last Saturday, 8th grade band students Madi Ingram and Amber Nichols participated in the Northeast Missouri Junior High District Band. Congrats on their selection to this group!
The Westran R-l School District is seeking bids for the contracting out of mowing
services. Bids should include all four facilities (Elementary, Middle School, High School, and District Office), excluding actual playing surface of athletic facilities at the High School. Bids should include mowing and trimming of ditches, sidewalks, around buildings and fences. The district will accept bids on a per mowing basis. Bids should be submitted to the Office of the Superintendent, 228 Huntsville Ave, Huntsville, MO 65259, by 3:00 p.m., March 18, 2024. Any questions can be answered by calling the Office of the Superintendent at 660-277-4429.

The Westran School District will hold Kindergarten Screenings on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Westran Elementary School. Parents need to contact the Westran elementary office at 660-277-3666 to schedule an appointment for screenings. Children must be 5 years of age before August 1 st to attend kindergarten.
