Dear Westran Families,

I am writing to let you know that a student in the elementary has tested positive for COVID-19. The administration is working with the Randolph County Health Department and we are following all of their recommendations with respect to ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff and students. The student was last at school on October 8, 2020.  As a precaution, we will directly notify those members of the community who may have been in close contact with the staff member during that week. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) have advised that all persons who experience symptoms of COVID-19 should contact their health care providers. Individuals who experience symptoms, or who have questions or concerns, may also reach out to the Randolph County Health Department at (660) 263-6643. We urge all members of our community to follow guidelines in place by the CDC and local health authorities regarding staying at home, social distancing, and wearing masks. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Mike Nagel

Westran RI Superintendent
